I Love Golf! It's a simple little game where you are trying to hit a little white ball, hundreds of yards away, into a little cup in the ground. Sounds simple right? Trust me it is not. The average golfer shoots 100 (on a par 72 course) meaning golfers make an average of 28 mistakes per round (of 18 holes). So what does this have to do with marketing you ask? EVERYTHING!
Marketing successfully is about learning a series of things to reach your perfect customer (ball in the cup). There is no magic bullet. In golf, you have to learn how to hit a driver, hit out of the fairway, rough, and sand, and how to read and sink putts (and do that in only 3, 4 or 5 tries per hole). In Marketing, you have to learn how to create a website, read analytics, create content, use advertising and social media, and do what ever it takes to create sales or get people interested in the future so you can create an opportunity for a mulligan (a second chance to get it right via email or social media).
In this episode, I will lay out the twelve step system that I use to hit a hole-in-one with marketing for myself and clients!
