Have you ever played the playground game Funnel Ball? That is where you throw the ball into a basket or funnel, and the ball comes out a chute worth 2, 4, 6, 8, or whatever points. There are no real rules. You can count up or count down. Winners have to get to 11, 21 points, or whichever points the players choose. You can simply add up the points based on your ball color, or make it where you have to catch the ball to get the points.
That's the way I think about sales & marketing funnels. They really have no rules, but there is an end goal to win (a sale or sales). In this episode, we will explore different funnel philosophies, and how marketing and sales funnels work best as a series of systems. More importantly, how to focus your energies to make the most of your sales and marketing processes.
I’ve never seen one of those Funnel Ball things, I don’t think they have them in New York City where I grew up, but I loved your podcast. Having multiple funnels makes sense, even if it’s a little more complicated than putting everyone in the same funnel.
I do have a question about a blog post with a coupon. That would have to be evergreen, right? I usually create coupons that end and use email to promote them, but I like the idea of an evergreen coupon in a blog post.
Thanks Ellen… Most offers in a blog post need to be evergreen, but if you have a great VA you can change them over time!
