After serving nine years as a US Army at various assignments around the world , Fa rah held various management IT positions in Chicago for both the federal government and the private sector. When the high-tech bubble burst in the 2008, he re-tooled and returned to his passion as a radio journalist in Illinois’ Capitol City.
In that highly competitive industry, Kirk was a sought-after journalist and talk show talent. Various positions included Bureau Capitol Chief, Senior Correspondent, News Anchor, and Talk Show Host .With a reputation as a “straight shooter” with street savvy and a common sensibility, Farah developed the trust of many state and local officials and business leaders. Because of his of dedication to his craft, he’s even managed to pick up a few industry awards. Kirk has also hosted daily opinion-driven talk shows, covering everything from politics to current affairs and lifestyle trends.
The father of three adult sons, Farah currently resides in Springfield, Illinois.
