I get quite a few (at least one per day) direct messages on LinkedIn or Facebook. They range for what's the meaning of life (just kidding) to very detailed business questions that generally can easily be answered in a text.
I never want to be rude or dismissive, and I do my best to answer… but not too much! I also get asked to lunch a lot as well. “Hey can I buy you a Burrito so I can pick your Brian brain so I don't have to pay you a $1000 to compete with you?”
The three most common questions i get go something like this….
- What should I charge others to do what you do?
- How can I get more traffic to my website for free?
- Do you know someone (implied cheaper than you) who can fix my India or Philippines made website? They don't communicate fast enough!
In this episode, I will explain that each of those really has a different question being asked, and how you can answer but leave them wanting more. Prompting them to ask more questions that can lead to new business.
