What do running a business and running a 5K have in common? They both can feel like being on a treadmill, especially without having some Goals.
I found some inspiration from a book I found on Blinkist by Haruki Murakami – “What I talk about When I talk about Running”. Haruki went from being an owner of a jazz club in Tokyo (slowly killing himself) to a prolific and award-winning writer. He started to take his health seriously at age 35 and took up running for inspiration.
Although running a race is a community event, you have to focus on your own goals and overcome your own limitations. In the sea of people at the starting line, you have no idea about the stories and goals of each individual.
There are some key lessons to be learned here:
- Running For Health – What goals motivate you in your business?
- Running For Mental Health – Do you take time to appreciate where you have been and how far you have come?
- Running For Networking – How does what you do in business support others? Donation? Education? Just being an ear?
- Running For A Cause – Giving back just feels good!
In this episode, we will explore how you can help others while achieving your own success goals!.
